by Terence Dackombe “You should never meet your heroes. Paul Newman… I was so excited about meeting him, but he turned up in shell suit bottoms, slippers, and a jumper. He was just so worn out and old, he wanted to go home.” Film producer, Allan Carr.
Do we expect too much? Should poor old Paul Newman have slipped out of his shell suit and reprised his Butch Cassidy look?
I’m not quite sure of the qualifications needed to be a hero, so I’ve compiled a short list of people I have admired; some of whom I have met (in two cases very briefly), some of whom I have not.
